Ahead of Abhishek Bachchan’s film, re-watching the chilling presence of Bob Biswas in the story. and that horrible subway scene

This is probably the most innocent phrase that most Hindi speaking people say several times a day. It could mean judging by the way we say it – give me a minute, listen to me, or be patient. But it took on a darker, deadly hue when Saswata Chatterjee recounted it in her Bengali-accented Hindi, hiding behind prostheses and glasses. Then he took a gun out of his sling bag and emptied his hunting point.

In Bob Biswas, Kahaani (2012) gave us an iconic character. The film won the hearts of many fans for its complex storyline and memorable characters. Vidya balanNawazuddin Siddiqui and Parambrata Chatterjee. However, it was Bob who gave us the nightmares. An insurance agent during the day, he was quite a deadly killer hiding behind the mask of a man on the street. The character’s popularity resulted in many demanding a spin-off for the character and in a rare move, Sujoy Ghosh wrote and produced the film. Bob as the main character, Abhishek Bacchan She will play the role of a contract killer in the upcoming film.

Before watching Bob Biswas, here is a small recap to refresh your memory.

Bob is introduced as a middle-aged man with a simple personality who works in an insurance firm but is not particularly good at his job. In fact, every time we see him in his office, he is being reprimanded by his senior. When Bob’s flip phone pings, it’s accompanied by a picture but we still don’t know what that means.

The appearance of Bob Biswas in the story started the discussion about a spin-off film in 2012.

NS first time We see Bob get murdered when he shoots Agnes D’Mello, who could lead Vidya Bagchi to Milan Damji. He rings her doorbell, verifies her name and shoots her point-blank. Bob isn’t one of those ‘cool’ killers we often see in movies who walk around in black robes with sniper guns on their shoulders. He’s a man with a stomach who gets tired of running too much and has to stop to breathe, which makes him the kind of killer who can get lost in a crowd.

Talking about the ambiguous nature of Bob Biswas, Saswata told NDTV in 2012, “We should portray the character in such a way that by the time he shoots the first lady, this man as a murderer. Not to be recognized. People shouldn’t imagine anything like this because once you see a man and you can find out that this man is a criminal, he won’t be out of jail for long. So you won’t even see that man a second time.”

Bob then appears in one of the most thrilling scenes of the story, when he pushes Vidya Bagchi in front of a subway train, only to pull her back just in time. The scene is terrifying as Bob does it with a smile on his face and Vidya’s reaction to this near-death experience leaves you breathless. Bob follows her through the station and warns her to return to London.

In the story, Bob’s story ends with the implication that he is killed in a road accident. Bob is on his way to kill Vidya Bagchi but is caught by Vidya and Rana. Rana follows him but we see Bob colliding with a car. Rana picks up his cell phone and leaves from there. However, we don’t see Bob’s death, so it remains to be seen whether the story of the film continues after the accident.

In the trailer of Abhishek Bachchan-starrer Bob Biswas, we learn that Bob has lost his memory, so it could be the result of an accident. It’s not yet known whether Bob’s story will be linked to the story from the story, but if the producers plan to go down that path, we may know of an accident as well.

The story of Bob is handed over to Diya Annapurna Ghosh, who is directing her first film. The film is releasing on ZEE5 on 3rd December.
