The thriller, a spin-off of the cold-hearted contract killer, is gearing up for a digital release on ZEE5. In a recent interview, Abhishek said that he hopes that ‘OG Bob Biswas‘ ZEE5 watches and enjoys his performance in the film.
The actor shared that he hadn’t even seen the story when Sujoy Ghosh met him in early 2019 to discuss the film. “He said I have written a script which I want you to hear. It is the story of a contract killer who has lost his memory and how his past becomes intertwined with him. I said sure it sounds like a good idea. I asked him if he would be making it. He said that I will produce it and my daughter Diya will direct it. On an emotional note, I immediately said yes I would like to do it. I will listen to the script but I am done,” he told NDTV.
When he got the script, he came to know that it was Bob Biswas. However, since he had not yet seen the story, he was not aware of the character. Abhishek further added, “At that time, he also told me that he had spoken to me about the original Bob Biswas, but at that time the film was not the story and I was busy with Bol Bachchan. Once we did 80% of the film. After completing the part, we went into a lockdown, when I saw the story.”
