LODHRAN: After the sudden death of MNA and television host Amir Liaquat Hussain, the mother of his third wife Daniya Shah has claimed that her daughter is yet to divorce her husband.
Daniya Shah had filed Grow (Women’s Right to Divorce) from her husband last month, saying the former legislator was “not how he looked on TV” and was “worse than the devil”.
talking geo newsSalma Begum said that the matter was “open” in court, adding that the court also gives the couple a chance for reconciliation.
Salma Begum said she was “saddened to hear the news about Hussain’s sudden death,” adding that she had made a telephone call to him a few days ago.
He claimed that Hussain wanted to mend differences with Daniya Shah.
Salma Begum further said that she had given him positive feedback about the reconciliation and advised them that “the matter has become very complicated”.
“Aamir Liaquat was very happy with my response,” he added. He said that he had said that he would come to the village and apologize.
He said the Shah family would attend his last rites in Karachi if the government provided him security. “He is our son and son-in-law and Daniya Shah is still his wife,” she said.
