A Peterborough, Ontario, man is facing Mischief allegations regarding two vandalism Thursday morning’s incident in the city’s main market.
according to Peterborough Police ServiceAt approximately 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a man breaking a glass window in a door at a business in the area of George Street North and Simcoe Street.
Officers searched the area but could not locate the accused.
Police say a few hours later, officers were called back to the same area to reports of a broken glass window in a door. Police have confirmed the involvement of the same person in both the incidents.
Officers were able to locate a man matching the description given to police a short distance away and took him into custody.
The 45-year-old was arrested and charged with two counts of mischief under $5,000 and failure to comply with a probation order for keeping the peace and good behavior.
The accused was kept in custody and appeared later that day.
