Mumbai reported 8,063 fresh on Sunday COVID-19 cases and zero deaths, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation said in a health bulletin.
In the last 24 hours, 578 have also been cured in the city. Active Kovid cases in Mumbai are 29,819.
Mumbai had recorded 6,347 fresh infections on Saturday.
The overall growth rate of Kovid-19 cases in Mumbai from December 26, 2021 to January 1, 2022, is 0.38 percent while the overall recovery rate is 94 percent.
There are also 9 active containment zones in the city.
