Seven people were killed when a car rammed into a road divider in the early hours of Friday near Kananakatte village in Jagaluru taluka, police said.
The victims were traveling from Bengaluru to Hosapet when the accident happened on National Highway 50, about 60 km from the district headquarters town.
Of these, six died on the spot, while another succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.
They were reportedly residents of Yadgir district.
