A 40-year-old man was arrested for killing his wife over a domestic issue on Saturday, said police.
The accused, Shravan Raut, lived with his 35-year-old wife Sapna Raut and two daughters and a son in Patel Wadi, Malwani, said police.
According to police, Raut and Sapna had been fighting for the past two days over domestic issues.
Police said around 11:45am on Saturday, during one such fight over a dometic issue, Raut allegedly slashed Sapna’s neck with a knife.
The commotion alerted neighbors, who rushed Sapna in an autorickshaw to the local general hospital, where she died.
The neighbors also nabbed Raut and handed him over to police beat marshals.
Rawat was taken to Malwani police station and placed under arrest, said a police officer from Malwani police station.
