22 year old man whitby Police say the charge comes after allegedly discharging a firearm.

Durham Regional Police said around 10:35 p.m. on Wednesday officers received a call that shots had been fired in the Dundas Street and Hall Road areas.

“Officers searched the area and found evidence of gunfire,” police said in a news release. “The suspect shot down a occupied vehicle.”

Police said none of the three were injured.

According to the police, the suspect was located nearby and was arrested.

Officials said a pistol has been confiscated.

According to police, 22-year-old Seth Bibby of Whitby now faces “multiple firearms-related offences,” including possessing a firearm contrary to order, possessing a concealed carry weapon and reckless discharge of a firearm.

He was put up for hearing on bail.
