Calgary police are investigating two shootings that happened less than an hour apart on Wednesday morning.

First, around 2:40 a.m. police began receiving calls about shots fired in the northeast neighborhood of Temple. Police taped a home in the area of ​​Temple Drive, where they said a victim was found with a gunshot wound.

EMS confirms to Global News that one person was taken to a hospital in non-life-threatening condition.

Then, around 3:15 p.m. police were called to the report of a second shooting in the southeast neighborhood of Pennbrook Meadows.

As a result police have a good portion of the 5300 block of 5th Avenue Southeast in possession. Global News confirmed that a man between the ages of 20 and 30 was shot.

The man was taken to Foothills Medical Center in life-threatening condition with a gunshot wound.
