190 Polling Stations, 1.64 Lakh Voters: Ready for Rajinder Nagar Bypoll

There will be 190 polling stations at 21 locations when polling begins for the Rajinder Nagar bypoll on June 23. Counting of votes will be done on June 26.

Fourteen candidates will contest the elections. Durgesh Pathak Aam Aadmi PartyRajesh Bhatia BJP and love creeper Indian National Congress There are three candidates from recognized parties, while the rest are either independent candidates or from unrecognized parties.

The constituency has a total of 1,64,698 registered voters, of which 92,221 are males, 72,473 females and 4 are classified as ‘third gender’. 1899 first time voters between the ages of 18 and 19.

According to Chief Electoral Officer Ranbir Singh, 58.27 per cent voter turnout was recorded in the last assembly elections and less than 50 per cent voter turnout was recorded in 14 polling stations.

After the Model Code of Conduct came into force, Singh said 15,015 banners, posters and hoardings have been removed in the constituency and adjoining areas, while 8 FIRs have been registered under the Deformation Act: six against AAP and two against Against BJP.
