A group of at least 15 assailants allegedly killed a 15-year-old boy inside the emergency ward of the Civil Hospital in Ludhiana on Thursday night.
according to a FIRThe incident took place in the presence of doctors, nurses and patients when Sawan Kumar of EWS Colony of the district was attacked by assailants with sword and ax.
Police said two groups of youths from EWS Colony were face-to-face for several days and minor clashes had taken place earlier as well. The incident came to light despite the Ludhiana Police setting up a special post in the hospital premises. Police Commissioner Kaustubh Sharma said that three policemen are stationed in the hospital but no one was present on duty last night. “An inquiry has been marked and action will be taken,” he said.
