Capture of Jerusalem – SPA:
Dozens of Palestinians have been killed and injured as a result of violent bombardment by the Israeli occupation forces targeting various neighborhoods of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. At least 22 were killed and dozens injured in Israeli bombings that targeted homes filled with children and women in the Rafah neighborhood, Palestinian medical sources said. Medical teams are also searching for missing people who are still buried under the debris of buildings destroyed as a result of the violent Israeli bombardment.
It is noteworthy that the city of Rafah has been hit by intense Israeli bombardment in the past few days, resulting in the deaths of more than 100 Palestinians and widespread destruction of infrastructure. The occupation also announced its intention to launch a large-scale offensive on the city despite the presence of more than one million displaced Palestinians and international warnings. The attack on the city threatens the lives of the displaced people.
For its part, the Health Ministry in Gaza said the number of Palestinian martyrs in the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip, which continues for the 213th consecutive day, reached 34,735 martyrs and 78,108 wounded, with the majority of victims being women and children.
The ongoing Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip left 52 Palestinians dead and 90 injured in the past 24 hours, the Palestinian Health Ministry said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Palestinian presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudina warned that Israel would begin carrying out massacres in Rafah.
Abu Rudineh held the US administration responsible for Israeli policies and called on it to take immediate action, saying: “The US administration, which provides financial and military assistance to Israel, and stands before the international community to stop the implementation of Is.” International legitimacy resolutions and a halt to aggression encourage Netanyahu and his leaders to continue their genocide against the Palestinian people, whether in the Gaza Strip or in the West Bank, as in the Tulkarm Governorate and its camps. He said the attack on Rafah would mean that 1.5 million Palestinian civilians would be subjected to “genocide”.
The Palestinian statements come after the Israeli military earlier told residents of the Palestinian city of Rafah to “evacuate immediately”, insisting that about 100,000 people are involved in the operation.
