Windfarm project a ‘big hope in the renewable space’

The Australian’s Graham Lloyd says the push to put wind turbines on Australia’s coast is an “engineering project of a massive scale”.

“The potential is that there will be a number of these windfarms offshore, potentially they will be visible from the shoreline and they’ll be connected by undersea cable to the mainland,” he told Sky News host Chris Smith.

“They’re very large structures, they float in the ocean … and it’s sort of a big hope in the renewable space.”
