Turkey, Israel working to restore ties at ambassadorial level

Ankara: Turkey and Israel have begun work on restoring their mutual diplomatic representation at the ambassadorial level, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Kavusoglu said on Thursday, as the two countries seek to end more than a decade of strained relations.
The two countries expelled ambassadors in 2018 and traded frequently over the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Energy potential has emerged as a key area for cooperation as they try to improve their relationship.
