Shilpa Shetty responds to cheating allegations, says she is saddened to see her reputation ‘damaged and dragged’

Actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra has issued a statement following a cheating complaint against herself and her husband Raj Kundra. a merchant filed complaint Allegations of cheating and criminal intimidation against Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra and Kashif Khan, director of SFL Fitness Pvt Ltd. The businessman demanded Rs 1.51 crore in damages.

In her statement on Twitter, Shilpa wrote, “An FIR has been lodged in the name of Raj and me! Shocked! To set the record straight, SFL Fitness, a venture run by Kashif Khan. He took the naming rights of the brand SFL to open SFL gyms across the country. All the deals were done by him and he was the signatory in banking and day to day affairs. We are not aware of any of his transactions nor have we received even a single rupee from him. All the franchises deal directly with Kashif. The company spun off in 2014 and is wholly controlled by Kashif Khan. I have worked very hard in the last 24 years and I am sad to see that my name and reputation is being tarnished and being dragged so easily to grab people’s attention. My rights as a law abiding citizen in India must be protected.”

The complainant claimed that he was assured that SFL Fitness Company would provide him with a franchise and would open a gym and spa in Hadapsar. Koregaon The police officer cited the complaint to say that in neighboring Pune, but it did not materialize as per the FIR. Later, when the complainant asked for his money back, he was allegedly threatened.

Based on the complaint, the Bandra police registered an FIR under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 420 (cheating), 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention). The matter is under investigation.

Earlier, Raj Kundra was arrested for his alleged involvement in a porn app case. He was released in September.
