NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg warned on Friday that the “real” risk of a new Russian invasion of Ukraine remained, as he insisted the US would not have decided on European security without Europe.
“The risk of conflict is real. Russia’s aggressive actions seriously undermine the security system in Europe,” Stoltenberg said after a video meeting of NATO foreign ministers ahead of talks with Moscow next week.
