Nora Fatehi appears before ED in money laundering case – Bharat Times Hindi News

New Delhi: Actress Nora Fatehi appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) here on Thursday to record her statement in the money laundering case registered against alleged thug Sukesh Chandrashekhar. Officials gave this information.

Fatehi, 29, appeared before the investigating officer of the case at the agency’s office here.
Sources said that his statement is being recorded under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in the money laundering case registered against Chandrashekhar and his actress wife Leena Maria Paul.

The agency had earlier questioned actress Jacqueline Fernandez in this case. He is expected to appear before the agency again on Thursday.

Both the actors are understood to have been helping the agency in furthering the investigation as they themselves were allegedly involved in a racket run by Chandrashekhar and his wife.
The two were recently arrested by the ED after they were arrested by the Delhi Police for cheating some high-profile persons, including Aditi Singh, wife of former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh, while they are already in jail. Were.

In August, the ED had raided some of Chandrasekhar’s premises and seized a sea-facing bungalow in Chennai, Rs 82.5 lakh in cash and over a dozen luxurious cars.

It had claimed in a statement that Chandrashekhar is a “known thug” and is being investigated by the Delhi Police for alleged criminal conspiracy, cheating and extortion of around Rs 200 crore.

“Chandrasekhar is the mastermind of this fraud. He has been a part of the crime world since the age of 17. There are several FIRs registered against him and presently he is lodged in Rohini Jail (in connection with Delhi Police case).

The ED said that despite being in jail, Chandrashekhar “didn’t stop cheating” people.
“They (with illegally purchased cell phones in jail) made fake calls to dupe people with the help of technology as the numbers displayed on the phone numbers of the called party belonged to senior government officials.

The ED had claimed, “While talking to these people (from the jail), he claimed to be a government official who was offering help to the people at cost.”
