A central Iowa nursing home has entered the nation’s list of worst-hit care facilities. QHC Fort Dodge Villa was cited for several federal and state violations in October. The Iowa Capital Dispatch reports that the care center has been fined more than $685,000, but could be increased if the facility fails to comply with federal regulations. Fort Dodge Home is on the Special Focus List by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. KCCI reached out to the QHC management for comment but did not elicit any response.
