The girl, a resident of Sualkuchi in Assam, had come in contact with the accused boy through Facebook three years ago. Both started falling in love with each other. Later the girl came to know that her boyfriend is HIV positive. But despite this the girl did not leave his side.

The girl has left home with the boy several times in the past. Every time the family members used to find him and bring him back. The girl’s family members came to know about the boy’s HIV positive. Due to which he pressurized the daughter to leave the boy’s side. After this, the girl drew blood from her boyfriend’s body and injected it into her body.

The girl felt that after both of them were HIV positive, people would not oppose their relationship. At the same time, the girl was considering it as a sign of her love. According to media reports, the girl says that she loves her boyfriend very much; That is why he has tried to infect himself with HIV.

38 million AIDS patients worldwide, unprotected sex is the biggest reason

According to WHO figures, by the end of 2021, 38 million people in the world are suffering from AIDS. Two thirds of these people are in Africa. Talking about India, about 25 lakh people are HIV infected here. About 1 lakh children are also included in this.

There can be many reasons for the spread of AIDS, but the biggest reason for this is considered to be unprotected sex. Also, HIV infection can also be transmitted through contact with blood, sperm and open wounds of an infected person.

17 lakh new patients in 10 years in India, the speed of infection decreased

The National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), in response to an RTI, said that from 2011 to 2021, 17 lakh new patients have come across the country. However, during this time the pace of infection has slowed down. In the year 2011, 2.4 lakh new patients of HIV were reported across the country. But in 2021 this number came down to 85 thousand.
