Dhanush and Aishwarya announced their separation on Monday night. While Dhanush issued the statement on Twitter, Aishwarya shared the news on Instagram. Their similar statement read: “18 years together as friends, couple, parents and well wishers of each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjustment and adaptation. Today we stand in one such place Where our paths diverge. (Aishwarya and Dhanush) have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better.”
