The RCMP in southern Alberta says the driver of a passenger vehicle has died after an apparent head-on collision with a semi carrying flammable liquids.
Police say they received a 911 call about the accident on Thursday evening on Highway 41 North, south of the village of Schueller.
They say the fact that the semi-flammable liquid was being carried posed a significant risk to the public, and they say the road was closed in both directions for several hours to allow cleaning and further investigation. went.
Police say the 29-year-old from Alberta, who was the only occupant in the passenger vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 64-year-old semiconductor suffered minor injuries.
