Press reports revealed that Sebastian Haller arrived at the German football club, Borussia Dortmund, to complete his transfer from Ajax.
The Ivorian striker has to undergo a mandatory medical examination to sign a contract with last season’s German league runners-up to make up for the departure of Norwegian Erling Haaland, who moved to Manchester City.
It was said that Dortmund would pay Ajax €31 million, while the Amsterdam team could receive an additional amount of up to €4 million.
Haller, 28, born in France, has extended his contract with Ajax until 2024 after joining the squad from West Ham United in 2021, and scored 21 goals in the German league last season in addition to 11 goals in the Champions League, where His team reached the role of sixteen.
The Ivorian player has previously been in the German league, playing for Eintracht Frankfurt between 2017 and 2019.
Haller, in what appears to be the final contract for Dortmund, is making a great stride in the summer transfer market, in his efforts to relinquish control of Bayern Munich’s title, which lasted ten consecutive seasons.
