DUBAI: Yemen’s army, along with the Giants’ Brigade and popular resistance, managed to liberate strategic locations in Marib’s northwestern front on Friday, according to state-owned SABA news.
A military source said they defeated Iran-backed Houthi militias on various battle fronts south and west of the Marib Governorate, with direct air support from the coalition.
He said dozens of Houthi militia members were killed or injured, while many of them were arrested.
With progress made on the ground, Coalition fighters launched a series of raids targeting militia fortifications, synagogues and reinforcements in different locations south of Marib, inflicting heavy losses.
