Women’s lives in danger after Roe-America

Jessica Glenza reports on the Supreme Court’s decision and the profound consequences it will have for women facing unwanted pregnancies across the United States

On Friday, the US Supreme Court reversed Roe v. Wade, the legal precedent that has protected abortion rights since 1973.

Following the decision, 26 state legislatures moved to ban abortion immediately or as soon as practicable. This would leave millions of women without access to legal termination in their home state. Many must travel hundreds of miles to another state to have a safe abortion or attempt to terminate their pregnancies on their own.
