Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) answered a call shortly after 5:30 PM on Jan 18 2023 at the 800 block of 2Ra Street East. Members of the PAPS met with the Prince Albert Fire Department where they found a woman inside the residence.

“He was taken by Parkland Ambulance to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead,” police said in a release.

The deceased has been identified as a 31-year-old woman from Prince Albert. His name is not being released at the request of his family.”

The PAPS said an autopsy was due to take place in the coming days, and they confirmed there were no other people inside the residence.

“The PAPS Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Identification Unit are conducting the investigation with the Chief Coroner’s Office,” according to the statement.

“Investigators will remain in the area for the remainder of Thursday and possibly into Friday as the investigation continues.”

PAPS said they will provide more information as it becomes available and is asking if anyone has any information, including video surveillance or photos from the area between approximately 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to contact police at 306-953-4222 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
