Various festivals celebrated today reflect the vibrant cultural diversity of India: Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday greeted people on various festivals related to the harvest and the northward journey of the Sun being celebrated in different parts of the country.

Congratulating him, he said that people across India are celebrating various festivals which are a symbol of the vibrant cultural diversity of the country.

“Pongal is synonymous with the vibrant culture of Tamil Nadu. On this special occasion, my greetings to all and especially to the Tamil people spread across the world. I pray that our bond with nature and the spirit of brotherhood in our society deepen. ,” Modi said on Twitter.

“Magh Bihu greetings to all of you. I pray that this festival brings happiness and prosperity in everyone’s life. Bhogi greetings to all. May this special festival enrich the spirit of happiness in our society. I pray for your good health and well-being. Pray for our fellow citizens,” he said.

The Prime Minister also greeted the people on Makar Sankranti and Uttarayan.
