UN bans foreign travel of two Taliban officials

United Nations: The United Nations on Monday banned the foreign travel of two Taliban officials in response to harsh sanctions imposed by the harsh regime on Afghan women, diplomats said.

The travel exemption that allowed 15 Taliban officials to go abroad for talks and talks was due to expire on Monday.

Travel exemptions for 13 officers were extended for at least two months, but were abolished for two education officers in response to the Taliban’s decision to ban secondary girls’ education.

According to a diplomat who spoke on condition of anonymity, the officials who have now been banned from traveling are Saeed Ahmed Shadkhel, deputy education minister, and Abdul Baqi Bashir Awal Shah – known as Abdul Baqi Haqqani. Also Known As – Minister of Higher Education.
