Two BJP men arrested for assaulting a man Coimbatore News – Times of India – India Times English News

Tiruppur: Rural police on Thursday arrested two BJP functionaries for allegedly assaulting a man during a human chain protest organized by the BJP to condemn security violations amid Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Punjab. Police have registered a case against five more BJP office-bearers in the matter.
The arrested people have been identified as Ramesh, an office-bearer of BJP’s youth wing in Vadugapalayam, and Rajkumar, in-charge of BJP’s Palladam Sangh. “The duo along with five BJP members assaulted Muthusamy, a fruit vendor, for making derogatory remarks against Modi during the human chain protest in front of Palladam bus stand on Wednesday,” a police officer said.
Police have also registered a case against Muthusamy in connection with the incident.
