Tiny London studio flat has bed within touching distance of the KITCHEN sink up for £595 a month

Tempted to move in here? Tiny ‘two meters wide’ London studio flat with a bed within touching distance of the KITCHEN sink goes on the rental market at £595 a month

  • A London flat is so small the occupant could pour a glass of water from their bed
  • The Willesden property costs £595 a month, which covers water and electricity
  • The bed in the studio flat is also within an arms reach of the fridge and the oven

A cramped London studio flat which has bed in the middle of the kitchen almost blocking cupboards has been snapped up by a renter.

The property, located on Churchill Road in Willesden, north west London, is advertised as a self-contained studio to let suitable for one person.

In photos of the studio, the room appears to be just over two meters wide, with a single bed pushed against the wall beneath a small window.

At the foot of the bed is the kitchen sink so close that you could pour yourself a glass of water from the comfort of your bed.

However, the tight squeeze means you might struggle to open the cupboards below it.

It may be possible to cook entire meals without having to get from out from under the duvet, as the fridge, oven and hob are also within touching distance of the bed.

There is storage space located under the bed, and there appears to be room for a chair.

The listing said there is also a bathroom but did not post a picture of it or of the floorplan.

The relatively inexpensive London property doesn’t have a garden or anywhere for the occupant to park.

The rental is listed at £595 per month £71 more than the average UK rental price of £524pcm, according to rental website SpareRoom.

The flat also requires a deposit of £686.53, which, equivalent to five weeks rent, is the maximum legally permitted.

Thankfully, the price includes electricity and water bills, and it also comes furnished.

According to the listing on OpenRent, the property is best suited to one person.

Students, families (of no more than two people) and people on DSS incomes are welcome, should it tempt them.

Despite the tight squeeze, the studio has had its let agreed to as of yesterday (17 May) and is no longer available,
