Timberwolves’ Karl-Anthony Towns to miss at least 4 weeks with calf strain: report

Minnesota Timberwolves According to a report in ESPN, forward Karl-Anthony Towns is expected to miss at least four weeks with a right calf strain.

Reports suggested the three-time All-Star could be sidelined for up to six weeks. The team feared Towns had suffered a serious injury when he was ruled out of Monday’s game. washington wizards,

Towns underwent an MRI on Tuesday, and he should be able to make a full recovery. A four- to six-week timeline means he could be back on the court in January.

Townes suffered a non-contact injury when he ran down the floor. At one point, Towne reached back and grabbed his calf.

Other players and members of the Timberwolves’ training staff helped Townes off the court. He was eventually taken to the locker room where he was examined.

Preliminary tests suggested that the 27-year-old did not suffer an Achilles tear.
