Tiktok’s Chief Security Officer will step down

WASHINGTON — TikTok’s chief security officer will step down from that role in September, the company said on Friday, in a move the company said was unrelated to widespread concerns in Washington. On the security risks posed by the popular short-video app,

Roland Clotier, the global chief security officer of the video-sharing app owned by Beijing-based ByteDance Ltd., will remain as a strategic advisor focused on the business impact of security programs, the company said. He will be replaced on an interim basis by Kim Albarella, who is currently TikTok’s global head of security risk, vendor and customer assurance.
