Rawalpindi: Three terrorists were killed and several others injured in two separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a brief statement on Saturday.

The ISPR said that in the first operation they captured and injured a high-value terrorist commander besides three other terrorists.

In the second operation, three terrorists were killed during an encounter with the security forces. The media wing of the Army also noted the recovery of arms, ammunition and IEDs.

The ISPR shared that all the terrorists (killed and captured) belonged to the Hafiz Gul Bahadur group.

“The terrorists were actively involved in terrorist activities against the security forces, extortion of ransom and killing of innocent civilians,” the statement said.
