Thane: Kasarvadavali police have arrested three history-sheeters for allegedly replacing high-end electronic gadgets with bars of soap while receiving a parcel from the delivery boy of an e-tailer site.
trio, nagarya aka Kiran Bansode 25, Deepak Chaudhary alias Atul Verma alias Manjit Singh, 22, and Robin Aruja, 26, has operations in Maharashtra, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Police said the accused used to order high-end electronic goods from popular e-tailer websites using different SIM cards. “The accused will then hand over cash of lesser value so that the delivery boy takes more time to count. While he was busy counting the notes, one of them would take out the gadget and replace it with bars of soap and re-seal it. Then they will claim for the products ordered by them,” said a police officer.
