Teen sentenced to just seven to nine months for making Lamborghini secretary

A 17-year-old man who crashed a Lamborghini after his father drove him into a secretary’s car at 100mph and killed him has been sentenced to just seven to nine months in a juvenile camp.

Brendan Khoury, the son of millionaire James Khoury, 46, was behind the wheel of an Urus SUV racing with his girlfriend at 100mph when it crashed into Monique Munoz on February 17, killing her, and being sentenced to prison. Ordered to go to camp. Thursday.

He began his term in custody six months after pleading guilty to vehicular homicide with gross negligence at Inglewood Juvenile Court in April. But Brendan’s defense argued that he should spend most of his sentence on probation at his family’s mansion, angering prosecutors.

Khoury’s lawyer, Mark Worksman, said the teen was diagnosed with autism, depression and attention deficit disorder after the accident, where he claimed to have suffered brain injuries, Los Angeles Times Report.

Psychologist Karen Schiltz, who testified before Los Angeles County Superior Court, said that Brendan likely suffered from autism throughout his life, but was never diagnosed and would have been imprisoned if placed in an L.A. County juvenile camp. will be ‘victimised’.

But Munjo’s family demanded justice, saying the punishment was too mild.

Munoz’s cousin Cynthia Crespin told court last week: ‘Being under house arrest in a mansion is not a punishment.’ ‘He took the life of an innocent in a reckless and senseless manner.’

The LA Police Department said Munjo was trapped in the rubble after the accident and died on the spot. Munjo was preparing to start law school.

Her friends and family criticized her handling of the case, saying the teen was treated differently because of her father’s wealth and status.

James is a multi-millionaire who owns several real estate firms and an e-commerce business.

Despite Munoz’s family apologizing repeatedly about the accident, James has called on James to face criminal responsibility for the fatal car accident.

Prosecutors persuaded Brendan to spend time at a juvenile camp because his previous record was reckless driving in Beverly Hills.

LA police officers testified that the teen was cited twice for excessive speeding and even had his license suspended over his antics in a Lamborghini, which is worth at least $218,000.

Kishor had also put out social media posts about his racing and drifting activities in the weeks before the fatal accident.

Munoz’s uncle, Richard Cartier, called the court in August to deny house arrest for Brendan during protests over the case.

Munoz’s stepfather, Isaac Cordona, 55, of Hawthorne, California, spoke about his heartbreak earlier this year in an interview with DailyMail.com.

His wife, Monique’s 54-year-old mother Carole, was too upset to speak to DailyMail.com, but she spoke about her heartbreak in a Facebook post on February 18.

She wrote: ‘My baby my life my everything my heart is broken in so many pieces mommy going to miss you so much.

‘I love you forever baby sounds like a nightmare rip my beautiful princess.’

After the accident, dozens of protesters gathered at the crash site and chanted ‘Justice for Monique’.

Worksman said in a statement to DailyMail.com: ‘The Khouri family is devastated by the tragic accident on February 17, 2021, in which Monique Munoz died. His heart goes out to the Munoz family for his irreparable loss.

‘Lawyers for the Khouri family and the Munoz family have reached a financial settlement to allow the families to recover, and they are in the process of finalizing those details. They demand privacy during this sad and painful time.
