India resumed its diplomatic presence in Kabul on Thursday as it deployed a team to its embassy in the Afghan capital, 10 months after its officials were evacuated from the mission after the Taliban seized power.

An Indian technical team arrived in Kabul on Thursday, the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement. Three weeks after the re-opening of the embassy, a team led by JP Singh, the foreign ministry’s point person for Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran, visited Kabul and met acting foreign minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaki.
