SUV without number plate carrying Asaduddin Owaisi in Maharashtra’s Solapur, police fined Rs 200 from driver

Police have recovered a fine of Rs 200 from the driver of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s SUV after the vehicle was found without a number plate in Maharashtra’s Solapur city, an official said on Wednesday.

He said the incident took place on Tuesday when Owaisi, who represents Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency in neighboring Telangana state, was in Solapur for an event.

The policeman, who took action against his vehicle, was later given a cash reward of Rs 5,000 by the local police officials, the official said.

“The luxury SUV of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) party president Asaduddin Owaisi reached the government guest house located in Sadar Bazar area of ​​Solapur, after which the politicians went to rest. However, Assistant Police Inspector Ramesh Chintankidi, who Were there on duty at that time, he noticed that the leader’s car did not have a number plate on the front side.”

He said Chintankidi asked Owaisi’s driver to pay the fine as the vehicle did not have a number plate.

After this some supporters of the AIMIM chief gathered outside the guest house, but soon senior police officers also reached the spot.

He said that the traffic police inspector Chandrakant Wabal collected a fine of Rs 200 from the driver.

“Solapur Police Commissioner Harish Baijal then honored API Chintankidi with a cash reward of Rs 5,000 for his action,” the officer said. PTI
