Steelers’ TJ Watt jokes ‘lesser athlete’ would’ve been injured after viral pool slip

pittsburgh steelers Defensive end TJ Watt is still laughing at himself days after posting a video of him accidentally falling into his pool, a video he says friends encouraged him to share on social media.

After OTAs on Thursday, reporters asked Watt about the video that showed him falling into his family̵7;s pool after he misjudged how far the ledge extended.

“I don’t know how I missed the step but I did and one less athlete It would have hurt,” Watt said with a laugh.

In the video, Watt’s dog seems unfazed by his owner’s fall, but the five-time Pro Bowler addressed the reason for his dog’s lack of concern.

“I was very calm. I’m happy about my calm. The dog didn’t react how I wanted him to, but that’s because I yelled at him two minutes ago because he was digging in some mud.” , so that’s the background to that story.”

Watt said that after posting the video he received many messages concerned about any possible injuries but said the only reason he shared it online was because he was not actually hurt.

“Many, many. The only reason I posted it was so I didn’t get hurt. It was all in good fun and I put it in the group chat, and they said ‘it’s too funny not to post. You might as well post that.'”

WAT is entering its seventh season nfl, With all the Steelers. He totaled 77.5 sacks and led the league with 15 and 22.5 in 2020 and 2021, respectively.

He had suffered injuries last season due to which he was ruled out of seven matches.
