Shiv Sena MLA’s wife files missing complaint, Akola police team leaves for Surat

Shiv Sena On Tuesday, he alleged that his Balapur MLA Nitin Deshmukh was forcibly taken to Surat along with Shiv Sena leader and Minister of State. Eknath Shinde, and was attacked by the Gujarat Police when he was trying to escape from the place. Meanwhile, Deshmukh’s wife has filed a missing complaint with the Akola police, which sent a police team to Surat on Tuesday evening to trace Deshmukh.

“Some MLAs sent us a message that they were lured to go to Surat and got stuck there. One of our MLAs, Nitin Deshmukh, was trying to escape from there. The Gujarat Police chased her and she was assaulted in such a brutal manner that she suffered a heart attack and was admitted to the hospital,” said Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut.

Deshmukh is reportedly among the group of MLAs who accompanied Shinde to Surat on Monday. On Tuesday, Deshmukh’s wife reached the Civil Lines police station and told them that her husband had gone missing.

“Based on his complaint, we registered a missing person case. During investigation we came to know that he is in Surat. He developed chest pain on Tuesday afternoon and was admitted to a civil hospital there. We have informed his wife and our police team has left by road from Akola to Surat to investigate her. If he is fine and has no complaints, our team will be back,” said a police officer.
