‘She’ is becoming ‘She’ to marry her love

Prayagraj (UP), June 28

Love, they say, can move mountains and this 20-year-old girl did it – albeit in a different way.

She was in a same sex relationship with her friend, but her parents were stumbling blocks for her who refused to accept the relationship.

In the end, the girl decided to go for gender confirmation surgery to become a man so that he could continue his relationship with the girl.

She consulted and convinced the doctors at Motilal Nehru Medical College and the medical process of changing the gender of this girl started about four months ago.

A team of doctors led by Plastic Surgeon Dr Mohit Jain and Gynecologist Dr Amrit Chaurasia took up the challenge of changing the gender of the girl.

Dr Jain said the girl approached him a few months back and said that she felt ‘stuck’ in the female body and wanted to change her gender.

Dr Jain said, “She told us that her parents were against the decision, but she is an adult and can take her own decisions. We took her consent and started the process.”

First, a team of psychiatrists began counseling the girl to determine her problem and found her to be mentally stable and healthy on all parameters, but was suffering from ‘gender identity disorder’, due to which she was unable to be a woman. Couldn’t feel comfortable and wanted to be. A Man.

“About four months ago, her breasts were surgically removed, and Dr. Chaurasia operated on her a fortnight ago and removed her uterus. Now, she is being given testosterone hormonal therapy which is beneficial for the body like beard, moustache etc. Will help in the development of male characteristics . . .,” he added.

About eight months later, the plastic surgeon and urologist will again operate on the girl and graft the male genital organs in another step towards complete transformation into ‘her’.

After this, the girl will turn into a man and will be able to marry the girl she loves.

Hopefully the families won’t mind till then.
