Robert Downey Jr. met Chris Hemsworth during The Avengers shoot, said ‘f*** this man’: Jeremy Renner

it’s easy to see the insane success of Marvel Cinematic Universe Over a decade into its existence as inevitable, but many things could have gone wrong. If the early films were not successful with both critics and audiences, the MCU would have died quickly. What was established with the Robert Downey Jr.-starrer Iron Man soon turned into a billion-dollar franchise.

Another thing was to shake hands with several actors and massage their egos so that they could play well with others. Jeremy Renner, best known for playing Clint Barton or Hawkeye and who recently appeared on the Disney+ series on the character, opened up about Chris Hemsworth and explained how he and others were unfamiliar with his work.

Speaking on the Armchair Expert podcast, he spoke about his experience filming 2012’s The Avengers. He said that when he, Robert Downey Jr., and Scarlett Johansson Having known each other, Australian star Hemsworth was new to them. Whereas Downey Jr. as Iron Man And Johansson was Black Widow, with Hemsworth playing Thor.

“If you’ve ever played a sport, it was like joining a new team. I knew Robert Downey Jr. I knew Scarlett Johansson. I just didn’t know Hemsworth,” Rainer said.

He said that Hemsworth made a great impression on the cast and crew, as, in Renner’s words, he was the “tallest” and “best-looking” of the team. This caused Downey Jr. to drop the f-bomb and say, “F*** this guy.”

Rainer said, “Yeah, she’s amazing, but we didn’t know about her, right? On the first day we’re all parading in our respective costumes. So it’s like it’s Halloween. We’re excited, But feeling equally funny. I feel like we all knew each other in some way or another, except we didn’t know this Hemsworth guy, because he comes from Australia. And he is the tallest, he’s the best looking… Downey was like, ‘We’ve got to break his knee. We’ve got to take him out. This guy’s gonna look great. He’s so tall, he’s so charming, f– this man.'”

It appears that the ego-slash from the screen was translated into the script, before Loki and the Chitauri unite to fight the menace, their distinctive personalities leading to an altercation. Iron Man and Thor, For example, they fought against each other as shown in the video embedded above.

The Avengers in Loki had a lot of action, fun, humor, and a smart, ghoulish villain. Above all, the film had a sensible plot with solid reason to bring together multiple superheroes to form a team. The film proved to be a treat for comic-book fans and distributed in almost everything.
