As a single bench of Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay passed seven orders directing the CBI to probe alleged irregularities in the appointment of teaching and non-teaching staff in WBSSC on the recommendations of the SSE, Kalyanmoy Ganguly’s role was under scrutiny. Recently, the CBI had questioned him at the Salt Lake office of WBBSE.

Ganguly is the chairman of WEBBSE since 2016. From 2012 to 2016, he was the Administrator of WBBSE.
