On 25 July, the Earning Tax Division in Chennai honored the Shivaji actor with a Letter of Appreciation. Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth, who accepted the honor on her father’s behalf, shared a few pictures from the facilitation ceremony on Instagram.
In several pictures posted by Aishwarya, the proud daughter can be seen jubilantly during the reception along with Telangana Governor Tamilisai Sundararajan and some IT officials. Aishwarya wrote in her caption, “Extremely and urgently proud of the taxpayer’s daughter for honoring Appa on #incometaxday2022 #onbehalfofmyfather due to #incometax dept of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.”
Many devoted fans of Rajinikanth accepted the gesture as they gave a lovely response to the film director’s post. One fan wrote, ‘Always very happy with our Thalaivar. Another fan commented, “Congratulations tremendous star All Time Tremendous Star. Congratulations sir.”
The veteran actor, who is currently shooting for his next film Nelson Dilipkumar-directed Jailer, recently made another headline when he met chess player Pragyanand. The little chess grandmaster, along with his family, met the star at his residence in Chennai last Saturday. The young man was seen presenting a chessboard to the icon. Pragyananand took to his Twitter account to share his meeting with the veteran actor.

Rajinikanth’s film Jailor will tell the story of a gang that tries to free its chief from jail. It could portray the feud between the jailer and the gang as they come face to face in a high-octane motion film. However, the makers are yet to make an official announcement. Although the film will see an expected star cast Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shiva Rajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, and Priyanka Mohan.
