Actor R Madhavan took to social media to clarify that he hasn’t lost his home after a Twitter user claimed that he lost it for his latest film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. The film, based on the life of scientist Nambi Narayanan, was released on July 1 and received a lot of praise. Recently, a Twitter user shared a post claiming that Madhavan, who also directed the film, lost his house to fund it and directed the film when the original director was out.
The original post, which had a picture of Madhavan with his son, read, “Madhavan lost his house to fund #Rocketry and directed this film after the original director pulled out due to prior commitments . On another note, his son, Vedant, is winning a medal for the country in swimming. Hats off to Maddie!”
Madhavan retweeted a tweet from a user who posted a screenshot of it and wrote, “Oh man. Please don’t overestimate my sacrifice. I didn’t lose my house or anything. In fact all those associated with Rocketry will very proudly pay huge income tax this year. By God’s grace we all made very good and proud profit. I still love and live in my house.”

Meanwhile, Rocketry won R Madhavan accolades not only for his performance as former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan, but also for his directing skills. At the teaser launch of Dhoka Round D Corner, he exclusively told News18 Shosha, “As an actor, when you go on the sets of a film, you want to have the director inside you. I didn’t have much directing experience before Rocketry. It was just a ‘learn as you go’ process for me. When I act, I look forward to getting into the character to do my job as an actor independently. I just want to finish my work, come back home and feel good about finishing my work for the day. I won’t let that struggle happen, but I’m sure it will someday.”
