Pune: DST invites applications from graduates with business and startup ideas

The Department of Science and Technology (DST) has invited applications from young students aspiring for entrepreneurship for the National Initiative for Developing and Harnessing Innovation-Entrepreneur-in-Residence (Nidhi-EIR) Scheme 2021.

Funds will be provided to graduate students to start entrepreneurship through fellowships for 12 to 18 months.

Students who have completed four years undergraduate program in science or engineering or three years diploma in science or engineering with two years full time work experience are eligible to apply for Nidhi EIR scheme.

The best business ideas with promising scalable-technology business startups will be supported with a monthly grant of Rs 10,000 to Rs 30,000. Selected candidates will be mentored by successful entrepreneurs and mentors, learning best practices in co-working spaces to start and do business.

Interested candidates will be required to pursue fellowship on full time basis and can write to eir.stp@scitechpark.org.in for details. The last date for sending applications depending on the category of the student is December 17 and 24, 2021.
