PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday said his party will bury the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) politically in the next general elections, while ensuring “fair and transparent” elections in 2023 by national institutions. emphasized.
“It is our right that the 2023 elections be held in a transparent manner and institutions like the Supreme Court and the Election Commission of Pakistan ensure that the elections are fair,” he said at a workers’ conference in Rawalpindi.
He also said that the recent Cantonment Board elections were transparent, “nobody interfered in those elections”.

Hitting out at the government over rising inflation, he said prices of basic commodities were skyrocketing and “the prime minister is still asking people not to worry”.
“The rising inflation level in the country now calls for widespread public demonstrations and I urge everyone to take to the streets against this menace,” he said.
Shahbaz claimed that his party would have fulfilled all its promises listed in the 2018 election manifesto if it were in power.
Calling upon the workers, he said, “Get ready, the time has come to launch an agitation against the government, defeat it politically and make Pakistan great.”
