Opposition’s presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha gets Z category security


New Delhi, June 24

The Center has provided Z category security of armed CRPF commandos to Yashwant Sinha, the opposition’s presidential candidate. Officials gave this information on Friday.

The squad took charge after the Union Home Ministry directed the VIP Security Wing of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) to ensure the security of 84-year-old Sinha.

He told that about eight to ten armed personnel working in shifts used to accompany Sinha whenever he went across the country.

NDA presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu has also been given a high Z plus cover of CRPF commandos.

Sinha is expected to file his nomination on June 27 after which he will tour the country seeking votes in his favour.

The presidential election to elect Ram Nath Kovind’s successor will be held on July 18 and the result will be out on July 21.

Kovind’s term ends on July 24.
