By the middle of next week, cold conditions will not prevail over most parts of Northwest and Central India including Maharashtra.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast of light to moderate intensity rain accompanied by lightning in the coming days. The weather will be affected due to the arrival of two western disturbance currents in these states.
Presently, a Western Disturbance – in the form of a cyclonic circulation – dominates Afghanistan and its associated induced cyclonic circulation lies over South Rajasthan and South Pakistan.
Apart from this system, moisture-laden winds are approaching a cyclonic circulation over central and northwest India from Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea.
The districts of Maharashtra which have forecast light to moderate rains include all the districts of Nashik, Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Aurangabad, Jalna, Hingoli, Nanded and Vidarbha sub-divisions.
This development will bring widespread light to moderate intensity rain over Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh till Sunday.
