Neymar was once again in the eye of a controversial storm when he was accused of diving to win a penalty in PSG’s 6-2 win over Gamba Osaka on Monday.
The guests went 1-0 up courtesy of Pablo Sarabia, before Neymar went down in the penalty box to earn a penalty within minutes.
However, replays showed that there was little or no contact between the Brazilian and the defender inside the box.
He rubbed the proverbial salt on the hosts’ wound to score an ensuing penalty kick to give his team a 2-0 lead.
He would score again in the 60th minute from open play while Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Nuno Mendes all recorded their names on the scoresheet.

But the biggest thing that came out of this match was that the penalty was decided by fans criticizing Neymar for what he was doing for a colossal dive.
One fan wrote ‘shameless’ and the other sarcastically called it ‘world class’. Neymar has always been infamous for making the most of situations when he was slammed by many for his antics even during the 2018 World Cup.
