ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Thursday that the country may have to face more difficult times as it is in the midst of an economic crisis.

Addressing PML-N senators in Islamabad, PM Shahbaz Sharif said that some of his “comrades” had suggested reforms and declaring elections, but the government plans to complete its constitutional term.

“When I took oath as the Prime Minister, we had to face many challenges,” the Prime Minister said.

He said the PTI-led government has entered into an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to take the impact of international oil and gas prices to the public.

PM Shahbaz said that the terms have been finalized with the IMF and the deal with the global lender will close soon.
