Moong dal is one of the best sources of protein. A staple in every Indian kitchen, moong dal is not only fabulous but also gives us many benefits. There is still a lot left to experiment with this famous member of the culinary family, eaten in many varieties such as dumplings, soups and puddings.

One such use is called moonglet. A puffed-up model of cheela, moonglet is a particularly delicious and nutritious snack. It may simply replace pancakes by offering a similar texture and a higher number of flavors. You can unwrap your choice of toppings to fit your taste.

Component

Yellow Moong Dal – 1 cup
Onion – nos.
Tomato – nos.
Capsicum – nos.
Butter – 2 tbsp
Dried mango powder – tbsp
Green coriander – 2 tbsp
Green chili – 1 piece
Asafoetida – 2 pinch
salt – according to style
process

Before making, soak moong dal 4 to 5 hours before making it. After soaking, put the moong dal in a blender and type into a thick paste. Use water as required to mix the lentils into a paste.
Take a bowl and put the mixed dal mixture in it. Add asafoetida, salt and mango powder and mix well. Now add chopped onion, capsicum, tomato, green chili and green coriander to it. Mix effectively.
Heat a pan and add 1 tbsp butter to it. Cover the floor of the pan with butter and pour the batter. Choose a small, deep pan to type coarse moonglets. Let the batter cook the dinner. After a while, turn the moonglet and let it cook from the other side as well.
Serve moonglet with ketchup or chutney of your choice.
